• North : Treriksröset, Kiruna, Norrbotten County (in the province of Lapland) ( 69°03′36″N, 20°32′55″E)
• South : Smygehuk, Trelleborg, Skåne County (in the province of Scania) ( 55°20′13″N, 13°21′34″E)
• West : Stora Drammen, Strömstad, Västra Götaland County (in the province of Bohuslän) ( 58°55′43″N, 10°57′27″E)

• Fully natural: sea level.
• Walled in sea floor: Nosabyviken, Kristianstad, 2,4 m below sea level.
• Dug hole, open sky: Götatunneln, Göteborg, eastern mouth, about 4 m. ( 57°42′40″N, 11°58′7″E)
• Mine or tunnel: Zinkgruvan mine, outside Örebro, about 820 m below sea level.
