Extremadura – Ciclismo Solidario (UCI Code: SPI) is a professional continental road bicycle racing team based in Spain and participates in UCI Europe Tour and when selected as a wildcard to UCI ProTour events. The team was founded in 2005 and became a professional continental team in 2008. For the 2008 season, the riders and technical staff are acting as their own second sponsor while they are searching for a second sponsor.[1] In 2007 the main sponsors were Extremadura and Spiuk. Spuik became the technical sponsor for the team in 2008 and Grupo Gallardo was supposed to be the second sponsor until they pulled out.[2]
