Extra Gimme Gimmes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Extra Gimme Gimmes is another album of covers by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, released – apparently at one time – through places such as amazon.com (according to www.last.fm). The songs that do not appear on previous albums come from the original 7"s put out on independent punk labels across the United States and Canada. Many of these songs have also appeared on compilation records for their respective labels (For example "[Only the Good die Young]" appears on Punk-o-Rama 2 on Epitaph, while it comes from [Billy] a limited edition 7" they released on Epitaph in 1995).

A tag from the album listing on http://musicbrainz.org suggests the album is a "bootleg". Currently it is not known whether Extra Gimme Gimmes is an "official" or "unofficial" bootleg.

More contributions of information about the nature, origins & relavance of the album is requested.

The album is made up of Hits of the '60's, '70's & '80's.
