I would like to note that some of the 'exploits' mentioned in the main page are caused by poor/ignorant game design, the problem being "trusting the client". Leaving stuff like movement calculations, damage calculations or password validation to the client is like using a "?isloggedin=yes" authentication scheme on a website. Also, the "Since character position in an MMORPG is determined by the client side" sentence in the main page is false (see above explanation). The client should only send movement requests, and the server should decide whether the change is allowed or not. theultramage 9:56, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
