Expressways in Puerto Rico
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Puerto Rico, Autopistas (in Spanish) or Expressways are usually tollways. Funding for these expressways is collected by a system of tolls rather than the Interstate Highway System, although not all Autopistas are tolled. On most tollbooths, AutoExpreso, an electronic toll collection system, is accepted.
Autopistas are also locally known as Expressways, or Expresos (Spanish), or referred to by an individual name.
