[edit] Bypass CNR

Hi, sorry for not being more clear. CNR means "cross-namespace redirect." The page Wikipedia:Wikiportal/box-header (in the Wikipedia: namespace) is actually a redirect to Portal:Box-header (in the Portal: namespace). Sometimes CNRs aren't a huge problem, but in this case there were many instances of the same situation, so I decided to fix them. Ardric47 19:55, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Great - thanks for the correction and the explanation. i am going to be doing a bunch of work the next couple months and i am still learning the ropes. i copied the code from another page, so i will probably go back and try to correct any other problems like that. Appreciate the feedback. --Exodio 02:08, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Sides of the Astronomy/Space Debate

A Work in Progress

  • The two sides of the argument: Astronomy is the logical Portal and entrance into anything regarding space. Space is the logical entrance.

[edit] your vote on state routes poll?

Hi, could you verify if this IP vote [1] on the State route naming convention poll was really you? Thanks, Fut.Perf. 19:14, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the Astronomical Acronym link

I would not have figured that out, of adding the link at the bottom. Thanks, CarpD 8/27/06

[edit] Completed the Catagory

I made a catagory based on different levels of objects in the universe. It should allow classification to include anything in the universe. From Galaxies, Asteroids, to Cosmic Dust and beyond. Thanks, CarpD (^_^) 8/28/06 morning...

[edit] Astronomical objects project page

Exodio,

I said it looks ugly because of the way the boxes overlap and collide on my Mozilla browser. In IE its not quite so bad, but what I like to think of as the introduction box (with the pleiades image) is pushed way down to a later part of the page. It really looks quite unappealing in the current arrangement, whereas the older version worked well with both browsers and in any browser width. Sorry. — RJH (talk) 22:12, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Gotcha. I think the boxes might be a bit much, since i've been looking at it. I think if i take out the boxes for the first couple sections that do not change, that might help out. I will try to get to that tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback and sorry about the hassle - i want to give all the Space type pages a similiar feel and was basing the project pages off the Portal pages. It's good to get the feedback so the majority ends up liking. Cheers

Great, thank you for the attention you've spent on the formatting. — RJH (talk) 13:56, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Space/Dynamic navigation box

Cool job that, Kudos!... wondering why is subpage and not in template space. If there are other sister projects (?Wikisource?) where is used, there are link-tagging-templates available for all sister's. Cheers! // FrankB 02:16, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal Space exploration

Well, I got confused about the 'E' or 'e' issue by looking at other portals. I believe you are correct about using the 'e', so we should consistently rename all subpages, too. The color scheme is a more personal choice. I was aiming for "NASA blue" as the color, which is much easier on the eye than stark black and white. I did not expect a consistent color between portals, actually. If they are all black, one might get lost more easily... Cheers Awolf002 11:18, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Russia... Yes, I believe they use 'blue' as well, so I might be okay :-) Thanks for the heads up! Awolf002 18:53, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Telescopes

This is just to let you know that you might want to add a members section to the project page above. One of the two criteria for deletion of a project is no active members listed on the project page, and right now this project page has no members section and no members. The same thing holds true for Wikipedia:WikiProject Spacecraft. Badbilltucker 19:28, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] reshuffling Space portals

hi; as per discussions at Portal talk:Space exploration and Portal talk:Spaceflight, i think we're going to change things a bit.. at the moment the plan seems to be to rename Space exploration to Space technology, and keep Spaceflight. Then Spaceflight would deal with anything that would have been in Space exploration (the reasoning here is that there are spaceflights (i.e. communication satellites) that have nothing to do with exploration). And Space technology would focus more on technical things, perhaps the building and design of spacecraft, and anything else used in space, spacecraft propulsion, etc.. that kind of thing. Does that seem like a reasonable split? so:

your thoughts would be welcome. the phrase Space exploration, though appealing, seems a little too ambiguous, i think. Mlm42 08:20, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] template vs. wikipedia namespace

i've noticed you've been using the Template: namespace for much of the content you added to various WikiProject pages.. i think they should really be in the Wikipedia: namespace, which is where WikiProject reside, so i've been moving them there. if there is any reason why you think this is a bad idea, let me know. Mlm42 10:40, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Spacecraft

I plan on nominating Wikipedia:WikiProject Spacecraft for deletion in a week's time, as it a) seems to be inactive and b) hasn't gotten started. The content it would deal with also falls under WP:SPACE or Wikipedia:WikiProject Space exploration. Please let me know if you have any objections to this. Thanks. Mike Peel 09:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Solar system

I have nominated this portal for deletion. However, I have started a new portal at Portal:Solar System. Feel free to contribute. Atomic1609 18:21, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template:WikiProject_Space/Navigation_boxes moved

Template:WikiProject_Space/Navigation_boxes moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Space/Astronomical navigation, just so you know the former link gives a double redirect (my clumsy paws). Rursus 20:15, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wabanaki redirect you've started is now a disambiguation

Please take a look and help clean it up. Thanks. CJLippert 16:09, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Space missions WikiProject

Hi, I noticed that you are a member of the Space missions WikiProject. A couple of weeks ago, I proposed that the Space missions and Space travellers projects, which both appear to be inactive be merged into the Human Spaceflight project. Whilst this is being done, the capitalisation of the Human spaceflight project's title would also be corrected (ie. Human SpaceflightHuman spaceflight). The projects are all doing the same/very similar things, and in my opinion, a single, larger, project would be more effective than three smaller, and somewhat inactive projects.. In light of very little response to messages on the project talk pages, I am now sending this message to all members of all three projects, inviting them to discuss the proposal on the Human Spaceflight project's talk page. I would appreciate your opinion on this. Thanks. --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 22:16, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
