[edit] Might
Might someone explain how to pronounce Exophthalmos? I think that it might help some people [including me] 151.199.243.211 16:55, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
It's pronounced "ex op thal mus." --170.163.36.38 14:57, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] exophthalmos vs. proptosis
I was taught that exophthalmos (as in Graves) features a lid lag when the patient looks downwards... ie, the sclera is visible above the iris... and that propotosis is just a buldging forward of the eye associated with hyperthyroidism in general and without a lid lag. Does anyone care to speak to this? --170.163.36.38 14:57, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
