[edit] Cool!
First post and everything. Anyways, you voted nuetral at my RFA, signifying a concern over my edit warring and other such things. I will freely admit that I have gotten into a few edit wars, my edit summaries have often been inappropriate, and I totally understand your concerns. However, now that I have answered User:JoshuaZ's questions, I'd like to ask if you would please read over them and consider changing your vote. If you don't feel inclined to, I completely respect that, but I would appreciate it greatly if you would at least read my apologies and the answers to the questions. Thanks, and happy editing! Matt Yeager ♫ (Talk?) 02:36, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi, this is Matt Yeager. I wanted to thank you for your vote on my request for adminship. The count was something like was 14/20/5 when I decided to withdraw the request. My decision was based on the fact that there are enough things wasting people's time on the Internet that doomed RFA's shouldn't be kept up for voters to have to think about. Regardless of the rationale behind your vote, I hope you will read this note for an extended note and discussion on what will happen before I make another try at adminship (I didn't want to clog up your userpage with drivel that you might not be interested in reading). Thank you very, very much for your vote and your time and consideration of my credentials--regardless of whether you voted support, nuetral, or oppose. Happy editing! Matt Yeager ♫ (Talk?) 01:58, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Question
Not to sound rude, but why did you ask only me a question on my talk page for the elections? Just curious. If your wondering, I answered it. Regards -- Moe ε 17:40, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks
Thanks for supporting me in my RfA. I really didn't think people appreciate my work here that much, but it's nice to see you do: my Request was closed with 66 supports and 4 opposes. I'll do my best not to turn your confidence down. If in any point in the future you get the feeling I'm doing something wrong, do not hesitate to drop me a line. --Dijxtra 11:55, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bureaucratship
I've never really given it much thought. We already have several competent editors as bureaucrats, and I'm busy with Arbitration. Perhaps later. Thank you for your offer. I will remember it in the future if I change my mind. Yours truly --Neutralitytalk 16:58, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey Exir
Judging by your inactivity, it appears you are either inactive or China has fixed the loophole you used to get into Wikipedia. :-( Anyways, hope you return soon. — The King of Kings 19:53, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Seawise university wreck.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Seawise university wreck.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Denniss 09:02, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Of course I remember you Exir! Glad to hear China lifted the block (for now) and you are able to edit again, and yes, everyone cared about you! :) — Moe 14:33, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, it has changed alot. If you haven't been able to edit (much less view) Wikipedia, you would have seen much more drama than that unfold. Sadly Redwolf24 left in July and, suddenly, in August Essjay left to pursue other things in real life. I find it strange China is blocking only certain pages and not blocking (or unblocking) them all. Maybe you could update the Wikipedia page that describes China blocking Wikipedia with more up-to-date information :) — Moe 00:03, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Redwolf24 (dating back to March) left Wikipedia because of school-related activity which he stated he had to do to graduate, but anything recent I don't know. Essjay left because "he's currently working on several writing projects that had been completely ignored for the better part of two years", which is a direct quote from a close friend of his regarding his absence. Hopefully they will return. — Moe 00:16, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
