This article contains many factual errors and needs total revision. I will be happy to work on a replacement article. The new article will describe common characteristics of exfoliation joints, different theories on their formation, and a brief discussion of engineering geology considerations. I will also suggest that the new article goes by the name Exfoliation Joints (Sheet Joints). MooreJR (talk) 15:02, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
