Club Atlético Excursionistas (usually called Excursio by fans) are a football team based in the Belgrano district of Buenos Aires in Argentina. They currently play in the regionalised fourth tier of Argentinian football, known as "Primera C Metropolitana".
The club was founded in 1910 with the name The name Club Union de Excursionistas, which was changed to Club Atletico excursionistas in 1920. The name Excursionistas translates roughly as "The Voyagers" and is akin to the name "Wanderers" sported by many clubs.
In 2006 it was rumoured that Diego Maradona was going to make a shock return to football at Excursionistas, but he chose to focus on his new career as Argentina's top TV presenter instead.
