Excideuil (Occitan dialect: Eissiduelh) is a commune in the canton of Excideuil of the Dordogne department in the Aquitaine région in France.

It should not be confounded with Exideuil in the Charente department.
Excideuil is a commune located in the administrative sector of Périgord Blanc (corresponding to the arrondissement of Périgueux) by the department of Dordogne. Excideuil is located 60 km from Limoges, 40 km from Périgueux, 15 km from Hautefort and 13 km from Tourtoirac, the town (agglomeration), it is situated in a valley that stretches to the communes of Saint-Martial-d'Albarède, Saint-Sulpice-d'Excideuil, Saint Martin and Saint-Médard-d'Excideuil.
Excideuil is one of the rarest communes in the northwest of the department, it has a secondary school, the Giraut de Borneil lyceum, which comports a section of a college. Excideuil est une des rares communes du nord-est du département à disposer d'un établissement d'enseignement secondaire, le lycée Giraut de Borneil, qui comporte aussi une section collège.
