Excepter
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Excepter, a six-person noise-improv musical group from Brooklyn is an electronic performance group devoted to the destruction of boundaries between the psychic friends network and reality television. DEBT DEPT (scheduled for release on March 11, 2008, on Paw Tracks) is an album of protest songs played in anti-commercial style with a timeless message for today’s election-year consumer:
“VOTE NO” … or … “MAKE ONE MISTAKE, MAKE IT TWICE”

[edit] In the Press
The Village Voice alt-weekly has frequently mentioned the subject of the band's attire, with controversial blogger and (former) Voice writer, Nick Sylvester referring to them as having "ousted Animal Collective as the Village People of Brooklyn Noise" [3]. The significance of their hats were noted several more times.[4] However, the band actually dresses like this all the time in their personal lives and thus it is incorrect to classify it as being costume.[citation needed]
[edit] Extra-mural activities
Nathan Corbin and Clare Amory participated as drummers in the Boredoms 77 Boadrum performance which occurred on July 7th, 2007 at the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park in Brooklyn, New York.
