[edit] Plot summary
In this episode, Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the case of a young mother gunned down after being lured to a meeting at a jewellry store. The victim is left in a vegetative state, but mysteriously, her kidney has been removed. At first, Goren and Eames suspect she was killed so that her organs could be harvested. Then they discover that the victim had herself been the recipient of an organ, from a seemingly altruistic donor. Then, the detectives believe this man took a controlling interest in those whose lives he changed.

[edit] Quotes
Goren: It's as if he was compelled. As if giving was serious business. Deadly serious. I wonder how offended he would be if he knew his gift was being squandered?
Eames: He's not saying much of anything anymore. Somebody performed brain surgery on him with a .357 Magnum.
After hearing one of many theories about the suspect.
Carver: Wainwright's planning another donation?
Eames: He's the gift that just keeps giving.
