Ewing is a village in Holt County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 433 at the 2000 census.

Ewing is located at 42°15′35″N, 98°20′40″W (42.259687, -98.344447)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.1 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 433 people, 192 households, and 115 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,066.2 people per square mile (407.8/km²). There were 213 housing units at an average density of 524.5/sq mi (200.6/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 192 households out of which 29.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.3% were married couples living together, 11.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.6% were non-families. 37.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 3.03.

In the village the population was spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.5 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $24,375, and the median income for a family was $35,000. Males had a median income of $23,571 versus $13,125 for females. The per capita income for the village was $13,605. About 9.8% of families and 13.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 15.0% of those under age 18 and 14.1% of those age 65 or over.
