Evolution was the fourth album released by Martina McBride. It is one of her biggest selling albums to date being certified triple platinum and selling 1.8 million copies in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan as of March 2007. It included the hit singles "Happy Girl", "A Broken Wing" and "Valentine", the latter of which became her first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as her first major crossover hit. The song "I'm Little But I'm Loud" is a recording of Martina when she was 7 years old.
