thanks, although i cant tell if your comments were directed towards me or the other guy, if they were directed towards him then thank you for explaining to him why what was represented there should be kept, and also i'd like to thank you for adding to the similarities as i have been meaning to add to them but i have just been swamped with working on the character, o-part list, and also a new possible angels & demons and 666 satan media sections(the media section is for getting ready for the anime that should be released towards the end of the year, ya kno for Seiyu, voice actors, theme songs and all that jazz and then also the angels and demons page becuase i've been thinking about expanding it for a while but i dont really wanna see it expaned on the main page, instead giving it it's own page and etc etc... but ya, thanks for the help and i'll see ya around....Ancientanubis, talk 20:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

from what i can tell while inside the box's basically all wiki format is standard... tabs, numbering bullets, all of it... the only thing is that sometimes normal text doesnt wanna show up if ya put 2 collapsables together(one inside another) but are usually fine if its a userbox(at least for the small ones, i havent really tried it with the larger ones)... thats about all i can think of... hope you enjoy, let me kno if ya have any questions...Ancientanubis, talk 01:58, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:YYHm2DVDCover1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

yes ik, i read that(and his sig, altho maybe for me it doesnt seem as bad seeing as i've finished the book:P), and although i do not agree nor support his comment about Twinkle, it was posted 2 days ago, i was also just looking at his contributes and realize he added onto a fairely controversial comment (here) on Sam's page, i feel like i've gotten him to be less hostel, but maybe im just hoping too much for the best for him, idk... its one of those things where you see alot of potential in someone, yet they dont really seem to want to help themselves (or something along the lines of that) i really want to see if i can get him to calm down in a sense, and realize that we all want the same thing for wiki ya kno??? instead of banning is there any way we can do probation or somethin like that(does wiki even have probation???)Ancientanubis, talk Editor Review 04:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

ORLY? Well let's take a look at the first point listed:

Jio Freed and Ball were trained by someone whom was considered to be a hermit (Kirin), much like Son Goku and Kuririn were trained by the turtle hermit, Muten-Rôshi.

Now that fairy vague isn't? I mean all I have to do is point out another anime where a hermit serves as a trainer... oh look at that I did, didn't I:

Other anime with hermits as trainers? Off hand how about InuYasha and Street Fighter V ep.6.

Maybe I need to elaborate on that? OK, Tōtōsai is a hermit who trains Inuyasha to use his sword correctly. In ep. 6 of Street Fighter II V a hermit trains Ryu to use hadoken at a basic level. As for the rest of the points, in order to complete an argument I have no need to cite anime because the idea of a weighted backpack and catching animals as a means of training is a common idea which could have been stolen from many sources that aren't DB/BDZ. Snake Way is a point I shouldn't have to disprove because there isn't actually a point made there yet, just an unbacked claim. And the final point is one I conceded, leaving you with one good point. Now if you'd like to stop sidestepping my argument and address it I'd be glad to continue interacting with you but if not, I'm just going to sidestep you and take this back to the talk page. ...You're still missing the point or maybe choosing to avoid it? Or I suppose I can take the optimistic view and assume your counterpoint is "No other anime has a Hermit trainer who forces the main character to catch their pet and wear weighted back-gear of some kind." (I'm leaving out snake way for a reason). This would be one great point for similarity if ANY of the fallowing were true:
  • Master Roshi and King Kai were the same person.
  • Master Roshi and Kirin had similar personalities, traits or features aside for being hermits.
  • The back-gear in both cases was a shell.
  • Jajamaru was a monkey.
  • If any of the three points, individually, weren't common:
    • Hermits as trainers is common to an uncommonly large degree. Hell I JUST thought of another example while writing this line; Genkai (YuYu Hakusho).
    • Training by catching Animals is an idea that was extremely widespread long before Dragon Ball as I've already pointed out. Guess what, Mick could also be seen as a Hermit.
    • The use of weighted training, specifically with weighted backpacks, is cited by wikipedia (consensus) as a widely used thing. Firefighters use it, the Military uses it and even high school sports teams use it.
So what happens when you put that back together. You have two different people each using one non-unique training method combined into one person, with whom they share an unoriginal feature (hermit trainer), using both in a non-similar way. Nothing that Master Roshi or King Kai share with Kirin is unique and the greatest amount of similarities either character has to Kirin is two. We have more similarities than that; obviously we both like 666 Satan, we're both non-smokers and we both have have French (1/8th), English (1/8th), German (1/16th) and Natural American (1/24th, not enough to actually count) ancestry. Does that make us similar? Not at all. How about Goku vs Zidane Tribal; monkey tail, alien, trance = Super Saiyan. Are FF9 and Dragon Ball similar? again no. Rounding off the edges of that core argument you also have; a completely unbacked claim about snake way and a completely valid point about both protagonists introduction to their master's pets. So now let's take a look at what this section actually is:
  • Valid Point.
  • Weak or Invalid Point: Two different people each using a non-unique training method combined into one person, with whom they share an unoriginal feature (hermit trainer), using both methods in a non-similar way.
  • Unbacked Claim.
That part in bold is my argument which I derived from the points above and from past posts (partly why I think doing this on the user talk pages was a bad idea). If you want to make a counter claim then address that, if not you are indeed sidestepping the issue. I understand you've both done allot to keep the section free of obviously worthless points but the points you currently do have are questionable and I think that fact needs to be acknowledged and considered.
