EvilCouch, Since you're a Ranger, can you help me with specifics and citations for the part about the uniform on Jesse Macbeth? I am poring over AR 670-1 looking for verifiable stuff. I copied that part of the article from a blog post, and would much prefer precise language there. Bugmuncher 07:02, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Bugmuncher, sure. I'll go ahead and see what I can do there. You've done a great job on the article so far. EvilCouch 11:57, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Terrific article over at US Army Combatives School! Thank you for this. - Rorybowman 22:58, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks also for the link to it from the MAC section in combatives. Sometimes the simplest edits are the most brilliant. Rorybowman 19:30, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, man. You've done a lot of good work to the article as well. EvilCouch 19:55, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)
Hi; I noticed that you clarified that the Vertigo comic was actually 100 Bullets. Did you find that out yourself, or did you see that posted elsewhere? Captainktainer * Talk 18:09, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- Both. I had seen it on a forum posting and then verified it for myself, as I actually have that trade paperback. I had originally posted it in the 100 Bullets page. Unfortunately, since the post was from a forum and not an ordinarily valid reference, I didn't cite my reference. I was somewhat tempted to create an image comparing a scan of the back of the trade with a screen capture from the video, but as it's just a trivia tidbit, I didn't think it really warranted it. [edit] Speedster (comics)
Hi. Sorry to bother you, but it looks we might have an edit conflict at speedster (comics) between myself and Ace Class Shadow. If you could chime in with your opinion on that article’s talk page, so that we can achieve some sort of consensus, it would be appreciated. Thanks. Nightscream 10:52, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Looking into it. EvilCouch 11:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Enough
I think we could have left at least one of my behind the scenes photos. People love to see what happens behind the scenes. It totally relates to the Enough article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Techclub (talk • contribs) 17:44, 23 November 2006.

- The content or lack of content of the IMDB is not the point here. Photos that don't illustrate anything pertaining to articles do not belong in the Wikipedia as per WP:NOT. I invite you to look at other movie articles on the Wikipedia. By and large, there are no behind the scenes photos. One feature film is produced much like another. The actors and settings change, but the techniques behind the scenes have remained much the same since the Silver Screen era. Unless a photo demonstrates something unusual about the production process, the photo doesn't really add anything to the article. The lighting picture might be interesting in an article describing how feature films are lit for specific lighting conditions, however the lighting situation is far from unusual and does not demonstrate anything particularly unique about the movie Enough. [edit] Keurig
Thanks for your message. Indeed, "the machines are simple to use" sounds like original research or advertisement to me. This does not comply with WP:NPOV. I suggest to simply explain how the machine works and then simply let the user decide whether the use is simple or not. Alternatively, one may write: "A survey by Foo Magazine showed that 95 per cent of users viewed the machine as simple (+ source)" if such survey exists. --Edcolins 10:50, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Batman: Triumphant
A virtually identical article has been deleted in the past. You might have grounds to speedy it. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 16:54, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Heroes
Hello. There is currently a discussion about the possibility of redirecting Heroes to Heroes (TV series) (likely with a redirect disambiguation notice added to the top of that page). Please consider adding your thoughts here: Talk:Heroes#Survey. Thanks! Justen 09:39, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] CombiChrist Page
This edit is far superior to the one that you have posted. I do not mean any offense, but it is true. Please change only what you see as an 'issue' instead of reverting to a page which has little to no information about the band's past —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bloodbeat (talk • contribs) 20:57, 1 May 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Combichrist Page
Thanks for your organizational update. I am new and was unsure how to do this. It really helps with the 'flow' of the page. I will be updating again soon with some information directly from Andy regarding certain things.

[edit] RE: Tōgyu
Very minor thing so far: the u is a long one as in Tōgyū. I'm not so certain about some of the locations listed in your article, I flat don't recognize the names. Let me look into it some. --fizzman 04:14, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
You could include what we native Japanese/Okinawans called Tōgyū: Bull Sumo. It's a much more accurate description of the sport, AND gets rid of the torture-killing connotation of Spanish bullfighting. Just a thought.
Yongausuku Cho is probably Yonagusuku cho. I don't think Yongausuku even exists.
Katsuren is a proper word, I just don't remember if it was a place on Okinawa. I'm looking into it, more to come... --fizzman 04:30, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Yonagusuku (与那城)and Katsuren (勝連)are townships on Okinawa (cho 町 means town) and I DO remember there were Tōgyū tournaments in Yonagusku castle every year as part of the summer festivals. I don't remember much about the Katsuren area though; however, since I'm a Naha boy, that's not unusual. Incidentally, we (as in you, mom and me), used to drive through the Katsuren township every time we drove to White Beach naval station. Do you remeber that small island off the beach that you could walk to during low tide? That's Katsuren Island.
I've found a Tōgyū article, with illustrated fighting techniques. I'll photocopy it along with the book cover so you can quote it for your article. --fizzman 21:06, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tōgyū nomination for Did you know?
Hi EvilCouch, and thanks for creating the article Tōgyū. I've nominated it on Template talk:Did you know. If accepted, the article will appear on the main page of the English Wikipedia in the Did you know? space. You may nominate your own articles, too, so keep that in mind as you create them. Good luck! [edit] Haarii (ハーリー) Source
I've an Okinawan Folklore book (written in Japanese, of course) and one of the stories is the origin of the Haarii canoe races. I'll translate both the article and book info if you want. Also, I've several other Okinawan culture books and articles (with pictures) that discusses the race and festivities. I've noticed you've checked out the Wiki article on Okinawan calendar of events. I should also have some photos I took at the races, but I don't know if I can find them. I guess I should try... --fizzman 00:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Togyu
I made a minor edit to the Togyu article. Ushi-sumo to ushi-zumo. The word needs rendaku. Hope you don't mind. BTW, Togyu takes place not only in Okinawa but several cities in Japan. So it would be wonderful to mention about it and expand the article. Best regards. Oda Mari 05:12, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Star Trek (film)
Please take a look at various articles like Jurassic Park or Batman Begins that many articles manage information on casting this way. Alientraveller 17:23, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] United States invasion of Panama
I'm very concerned about the revisionism you cite, myself, though I don't have a problem with revisionism per se. I just seem to see a lot of Wikipedians who are willing to sacrifice academic and historical provenance for political expediency. Do you agree? NSIprogram (talk) 05:30, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bud Lomell site
Thanks for your improvements to this site. The site desperately needs a photo of him. I have a couple of ideas about leads for legal sources (his friends, family, firm), but if your Ranger connections provide you with better leads then it would be great if you could fill that gap.(Another Former 2d Ranger Battalion officer whose page is overdue is Gerald Heaney, who spent decades as a federal appeals court judge until his full retirement last year at or near age 90. He may be the next one on my list.)Wikijsmak (talk) 22:10, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Rangers
Thanks for the compliments. I didn't realise that there were going to be so many, which is why I dropped the red links. In fact I hand't noticed until just now how big that page had got. I'm not sure what the MOS has to say about disambiguation pages because it's been a while since I read it but I believe that disambiguation pages should lead to almost all possible links. I did omit most of the Power Rangers links because I think people looking for that can find it elsewhere. I know that at least one other park in the US has ranger districts but none of them have been created yet so they could be added later. By the way, if I cared about barnstars I would accept one, they just vanish when I archive the page. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 10:10, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please help save Repo Man movie article
Hey Couch,
This guy, Dædαlus, is in there trying to remove parts that you, I and many others contributed to the Repo Man article. Please add to the bottom of this thread on the Repo Man talk page that you think the "Notable Motifs" section should not be blanked (erased), but left as is since the Pulp Fiction article also has a "Notable Motifs" section that isn't being considered for removal at all (even by Dædαlus himself).
While I agree that the "Notable Motifs" section could use some work, it certainly won't help the article to delete the whole thing and erase all our work which consists of many multiple contributers over a course of years. I'm willing to work on it and better incorporate it into the article, he just wants to delete it all!
With consensus, we can stop this guy from deleting all our work soon!
Thanks in advance. Cowicide (talk) 02:28, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of War Inc. (disambiguation)
I have nominated War Inc. (disambiguation), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/War Inc. (disambiguation). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
