Evinochori or Evinohori (Greek, Modern: Ευηνοχώρι, Katharevousa: -ον - on), older forms: -o and -on, also with the second o accented is a Greek town located east of Messolongi in the southern part of the Etoloakarnania prefecture. Evinochori is in the municipality of Messolongi. Evinochori had a 2001 population of 1,683 for the village and 1,706 for the municipal district, it is ranked second in population in the municipality. In the older times, the then village was known as Bochori or Bohori (Μποχώρι)

The town is named after the Evinos river in which the Evinos river flows nearby to the east. The Arakynthos and the GR-5/E55 (Antirrio - Agrinio - Ioannina is to the north. It is linked with the road linking the highway.
Its residents are based in agriculture and other businesses. The largest shop is Laniou, the cafeteria flavour. Evinochori has two football (soccer) clubs, Evino and Kalydona. Next to Evinochori is the ruins of ancient Calydon or Kalydon (Καλυδώνας, Modern Greek: Kalydonas), one of the most famous ancient cities in Acarnania.
After World War II and the Greek Civil War, the population steadily declined as residents moved to larger towns and cities and the richest countries in the world.
Electricity and automobiles arrived in the 1960s, it was linked with pavement in the late-20th century, television arrived in the 1980s. Internet and computers arrived in the late-1990s.
Its panoramic views includes the hills to the northwest, Arakynthos to the north, Varasova to the east and the Peloponnese to the south including the Movri and the Scollis mountains, the northern part are rarely blocked.

Evinochori has two schools, a lyceum (middle school), a gymnasium (secondary school) a few churches and the central square (plateia), its nearest and banks are in Messolongi.
