[edit] Biography
Evil Masquerade was founded in the summer of 2003 in Copenhagen by guitarist Henrik Flyman (Wuthering Heights, Moahni Moahna, ZooL). He hooked up with Dennis Buhl (dr), Kasper Gram (bs) and Henrik Brockmann (voc) to record the bands debut album. It was released early 2004 under the name "Welcome to the Show". It almost immediately received worldwide recognition and made the charts in Japan at no 8. Only a year later it was followed up with their 2nd album "Theatrical Madness". Even though "Theatrical Madness" gained the band many new fans around the world they were still a bit anonymous to the broader audience. After a couple of line up changes they were again back in the studio and ready to record their 3rd opus "Third Act" - and today the fanbase has grown quite strong. The current lineup consists of Henrik Flyman (gtr), Apollo Papathanasio (voc), Dennis Buhl (dr) and Thor Jeppesen (bs). Special invited guests on keyboards are David Rosenthal (Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai) and Richard Andersson (Time Requiem, Space Odyssey).
