Evgenij Ermenkov

Evgenij Petkov Ermenkov (Bulgarian: Евгени Петков Ерменков) (born 29 September 1949) is a chess Grandmaster (GM).[1] Born in Sofia, Bulgaria,[1] he now plays for Palestine.
Ermenkov won the Bulgarian Championship in in 1973, 1975 (after a play-off), 1976, 1979 (after a play-off) and 1984 (jointly). He played for Bulgaria at the 1978 and 1980 Chess Olympiads.
Playing for the Palestine team, Ermenkov won the gold medal at the 36th Chess Olympiad in Calvia 2004 for the best result on the first board (87.5%, 10.5/12). He also played for Palestine at Torino 2004.

Ermenkov earned the International Master (IM) title in 1974 and the GM title in 1977.[1]
