Every Human Has Rights
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On the 59th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), December 10th, 2007, The Elders' Desmond Tutu, Mary Robinson, and Graça Machel joined Amnesty International's Executive Director, Irene Khan and CIVICUS Secretary General, Kumi Naidoo to announce the Every Human Has Rights campaign [1][2]. The Elders and their partners hope to use the Every Human Has Rights campaign as a platform to "empower global citizens to protect the first-ever comprehensive agreement on human rights among nations" [3] and realize the declaration's aspirations.
