[edit] Immediate success

In the Silvertips' inaugural season in the U.S. Division of the WHL, they broke multiple records for an expansion team in its first year. Under the direction of General Manager Doug Soetaert and Coach Kevin Constantine, they won the division title with a record of 35–26–8–2, and set a record for a first year team in any of the major junior hockey leagues (the OHL, QMJHL, and WHL) with 80 points earned in the regular season, eclipsing the record set by the 1982-1983 Longueuil Chevaliers of the QMJHL. Constantine received the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy from the league as the 2003–2004 Coach of the Year.

In the playoffs in 2004, the Silvertips swept the Spokane Chiefs 4–0 in the first round of the playoffs, and defeated the Vancouver Giants in the second round 4 games to 2. They played the Kelowna Rockets, the reigning WHL champions, for the Western Conference title, defeating the Rockets 4–3 in an extremely close series (the Silvertips falling behind 3–1 before winning the final three games in overtime) and earning the chance to play the Medicine Hat Tigers for the WHL championship. The Tigers swept the series 4–0, ending the Silvertips' season.

[edit] 2005–2006 season

The 2005–2006 season came to an end when the Silvertips were eliminated from the WHL Playoffs by the Vancouver Giants in the Western Conference Finals, but the Silvertips exceeded expectations by reaching the final four of the WHL Playoffs for the second time in three WHL seasons. They also were the US Division champions for the 2nd time in 3 years.

[edit] 2006–2007 season

The Everett Silvertips 2006–2007 season came to an end when the Prince George Cougars defeated the Silvertips in six games of their Western Conference Semifinal series. For the Silvertips it was a tough way to end the season but the hockey club still accomplished some of their goals. The Silvertips captured their 3rd US Division regular season crown and was awarded the Scotty Munro Trophy for recording the best record in the WHL during the 2006–2007 regular season with a record of 54–15–1–2 (111 points). Silvertips forward Zach Hamill became the first Everett Silvertip to lead the WHL in points with 32 goals and 61 assists for 93 points. For leading the WHL in scoring, the Port Coquitlam, BC native will be awarded the Bobby Clarke trophy.
