[edit] Udo Sturm

Hi EvanCS. I understand why you removed the non-existent wikilink to Udo Sturm from the intro of the KMFDM article. I'm just wondering why you say there will never be an article on him. Is he not significant outside of KMFDM? I understand he was an artist independent of his contributions to KMFDM. If I had a little more info on him, I'd be willing to write a stub. --buck 16:43, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Emo

I will delete whatever I want to on MY TALK PAGE, if you disagree see my page for contact info, this is your final warning. DO NOT POST HERE ABOUT THAT DAMN EMO PAGE-- mando 08:04, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Message on my talk page

Please be careful when leaving warnings on other peoples' talk pages. I did not make this [1] edit for which you left this [2] warning on my talk page. --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:34, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry but you did, this is your last warning -- mando 23:34, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] External links

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page KMFDM have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --AbsolutDan (talk) 13:00, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't feel the above warning message is appropriate for you (as you're not a new user), so I'm scratching it and writing this instead. The link you added to KMFDM is a link to a website that you run. According to WP:EL, you should not add links to websites that you own or maintain. The link should instead be placed on the article's talk page to allow other editors to reach a consensus on it. If it's agreed to be useful, then the link can be added by one of those other editors. --AbsolutDan (talk) 13:08, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations Detective Dan, it is a website I run. It is a KMFDM website though. Please stay out of the area if you are not knowledgeable in it-- mando
Please review the External links policy I linked to above. Regardless of whether it is a site related to the subject, it is against guidelines to add links to sites you run. --AbsolutDan (talk) 21:30, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
1. Any site that contains factually inaccurate material or unverified original research, unless it is the official site of the article's subject or it is a notable proponent of a point of view in an article with multiple points of view. (See Wikipedia:Reliable sources for further information on this guideline.)
  1. Any site that contains factually inaccurate material or unverified original research, unless it is the official site of the article's subject or it is a notable proponent of a point of view in an article with multiple points of view. (See Wikipedia:Reliable sources for further information on this guideline.)
  2. In general, any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article here would have once it becomes an example of brilliant prose.
  3. Links that are added to promote a site. See External link spamming.
  4. Sites that primarily exist to sell products or services.
  5. Sites with objectionable amounts of advertising.
  6. Sites that require payment to view the relevant content.
  7. Sites that are inaccessible to a significant proportion of the online community (for example, sites that only work with a specific brand of browser).
  8. Sites that require external applications (such as Flash or Java) to view the relevant content unless (1) it is the official site of the subject of the article, (2) the article is about those media, or (3) the site is being cited as a reference.
  9. Foreign-language sites, unless it is the official site of the subject of the article or it contains visual aids such as maps, diagrams, or tables. (See WP:MOS-L for further information on this guideline.)
 10. Bookstore sites, instead use the "ISBN" linking format which gives readers an opportunity to search a wide variety of free and non-free book sources.
 11. A website that you own or maintain (unless it is the official site of the subject of the article). If it is relevant and informative, mention it as a possible link on the talk page and wait for someone else to include it, or include the information directly in the article.
 12. Blogs, social networking sites (such as MySpace) and forums should generally not be linked to. Although there are exceptions, such as when the article is about, or closely related to, the website itself, or if the website is of particularly high standard.

Because of neutrality & point-of-view concerns, a primary policy of Wikipedia is that no one from a particular site/organization should post links to that organization/site etc. Because neutrality is such an important -- and difficult -- objective at Wikipedia, this takes precedence over other policies defining what should be linked. The accepted procedure is to post the proposed links in the Talk section of the article, and let other - neutral - Wikipedia editors decide whether or not it should be included.

DetectiveDan, if someone involved with the KMFDM article decides it should not be on there I'll hear them out. You however, I won't. Stay away from me, stay away from this page, and most importantly stay away from the KMFDM article. Nobody wants you or your contributions there.
