"Both Wood and her "Thirteen" co-star Nikki Reed are Jewish." The above might be true, but this isn't an obscure religion by any means. I've glanced over many other biographical articles about people of christian or muslim faiths and it says nothing about them being catholic, christian, protestant, lutheran, methodist, etc... so why do we need to say these actresses are Jewish without having a notable reason for stating it? Here's an example: "Both Wood and her "Thirteen" co-star are Jewish and as a result, blah blah blah. How about we make these articles sound less like a bunch of random trivia? — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 08:25, August 5, 2005 (UTC)
- I completely agree to that. I reverted it last time, but I left it there to see if anyone else found it unneccesary. Courtkittie 10:08, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
Well, pointing out that she's Jewish is like pointing out that Linsday Lohan is Irish and Italian. But it can be done in a subtler way, I guess. Anyway - I've read elsewhere that Roger Moore is her uncle - does anyone know if that's true or not? He would have to be her mother's brother. But he was born in 1927 England, while Wood's mother was born in 1958 in LA., therefore making it near impossible that they're siblings. According to the IMDB, none of Roger Moore's wives were named Moore or Wood, so it's unlikely that he's married to one of her parents' siblings. Seems like a relation is impossible, but anyone know for sure? -24.141.149.226
- Evan Rachel Wood's mother's name was Moore, it is possible her uncle is Roger Moore (i.e. her Dad is his brother) so that would make him Wood's great uncle Arniep 12:40, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
I guess that's possible, but of course, it means he isn't Wood's uncle, which was my point. Anyway, I think it is just some web rumour someone invented somewhere - probably because her mother's last name was "Moore" as well. I have never seen an interview or anything where that's mentioned. And of course, there's the fact that Wood is Jewish and Roger Moore is not - altough I don't know if both of Wood's parents are Jewish, or just one of them, or what.
But in any case, I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that they are not related at all. Vulturell 19:08, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
Birth Name
On IMDb, it says that Evan's birth name is actually Evan Rachael Wood. Is this true? Stephe1987 07:59, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure. IMDB is often wrong. I couldn't find anything like an interview or a reliable source. "Rachael" is a really rare name. JackO'Lantern 08:03, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- There's always Rachael Bella... :) Buchanan-Hermit™..CONTRIBS..SPEAK! 08:14, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
A decent Picture of Evan!!!
This article needs a decent picture of Evan, the one with her and Nikki Reed isn't good enough...I mean acctreses like Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff have about 5 pictures of them, while Evan, who is just as talented, in fact much more talented than they'll ever be!!! I don't know how to add a picture...so could someone please tell me how to??
- How about the one I just added? What you have to do is find a screenshot or a free picture (i.e. a picture that isn't copyrighted), save it to your own computer, and then go to "Upload file", press "Browse", and load it on to here. Mad Jack O'Lantern 08:07, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

This picture from Perez Hilton seems apt. http://perezhilton.com/upload/2007/01/caption_me_manson_his/mansonowood.jpg
diploma
"Wood received her diploma at age fifteen". What diploma, and from whom did she receive it?-- ExpImptalkcon 13:40, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Almost certainly her High school diploma, but i don't have a source. Amo 15:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Wood and Bell
The source given for that piece of info is not a fanpage, it's an article in a respected British newspaper. Until you have a competing written source (from Wood's brother) or elsewhere, that thier relationship is over, then it should stay. This is not about whether they are together or not. this is about the fact that wikipedia deals in sourced information. Amo 09:34, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
First of all, you need to read the section entitled "Self-published and dubious sources in articles about the author(s)" in the page on verifiability requirements. My claim is backed up (despite not being backed by a written source) and is not self serving or overly contentious. Moreover, an article in the Guardian is hardly a source of biographical information on Wood and we have no way of verifying the Guardian's claims, so the article is just as questionable as claims made by anyone else. I know for a fact that Wood dated Bell, but I also know that the realtionship is over. Lastly, you say "This is not about whether they are together or not. this is about the fact that wikipedia deals in sourced information.", I beg to differ. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia, encyclopedias deal in fact, there are many potential "sources", such as hate websites, that would make ridiculous claims about minorities; simply because the material has a documented source does not make it factual or suitable for an encyclopedic entry.
July 2003 Magazine
I'm pretty sure the magazine she and nine other under 18 actresses were featured in was Vanity Fair, not Vogue, so I'm changing that. Almost lustro 01:09, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
