[edit] Symphonic metal?

It says symphonic metal as genre. Ofcourse, Nightwish sure is symphonic metal, but Eva? Is the genre announced? AkiShinji 15:25, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

No, but the {{Future single}} template in the page explains that inaccuracies are possible, since the single is unreleased. Teo64x 16:33, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
But still, since we don't have an idea of the genre, should it be symphonic metal then? AkiShinji 12:23, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
I think its safest to assume that it will be symphonic metal, judging from the orchestra photos in the Nightwish website. Orchestras don't play blackened death metal or such stuff :) Okay, now THIS is a late response, is it not? Teo64x 16:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
I have changed it to symphonic rock/power ballad. Read it correctly, power ballad doeasn't mean power metal, it means a hard rock song with a slow tempo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nazzzz (talkcontribs) 17:20, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I think a lot of us know what power ballads are, and for one thing, it is not a genre of music. I'm going to put it back to symphonic metal as its just an overall indicator for their style.Seriphyn (talk) 12:30, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Moved

The article and its talk page have been moved from Eva (song) to Eva (single).

Hmm... I thought we have already discarded the "(single)" stuff for "(song)", according to both WikiProject Albums and WikiProject Songs... -- ReyBrujo 15:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "The 2007 Nightwish Album"

Should there be a wikilink to the article The 2007 Nightwish Album? I think that since the title of the album is not revealed yet and as this is only a temporarly title of the article, there shouldn't be too many links. But, as the title is revealed, The 2007 Nightwish Album kan redirect to the new title. Can't it? I include a link, and if anyone has got a complain, don't just erase the link - discuss it here. AkiShinji 12:23, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spinefarm Records?

Is there a confirmed source saying that the label will be Spinefarm Records? I've never seen one. - Aki 18:19, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Another Eva?

If you search Eva, you get to one of those "Eva or EVA may refer to:" pages, and on that list, and a link to this page exists on that page. However, as of this edit, the caption next to the link says: "Eva (song), a song by Ozomatli", though it links to this page. The thing is that Ozomatli (whoever that is) actually DOES have a song called "Eva", and they released it in 1998 - way before Nightwish. Just a problem I felt I needed to point out, because I think Ozomatli deserves some recognition for his song, and I don't know the protocol on what to do when two songs with the same name. Maybe put a link to Ozomatli's wikipedia page on this page? And what to do about the Eva disambiguation page? I would hate to take credit away from another band. CyminX 20:02, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

I think that it's not the song that is recorded first, but the most famous one. I haven't even heard of Ozomatli. And as this Wikipedia page was created first, I think the credits should fall on this one. I mean, as there is no Wikipedia page to this other song, it feels quite strange not using the name. - Aki 10:00, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
I changed the text in the disambiguation page to: a song by Nightwish. If Ozomatli's (which I haven't heard of either) song gets its page, it should be named Eva (Ozomatli song) or something like that. And a link to that page should probably be placed in Eva (song). Teo64x 11:08, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Length and other stuff

How do we know the length and track number of Eva in the single? Has anything been announced? Shouldn't these things be cited? Teo64x 16:26, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Leaked

Looks like the single (or rather just the full song Eva) has leaked to various Torrent websites. Add this to the article(s)? --Shadebeard 19:11, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I think you can add it. It's already mentioned in some other related pages as well ;) Teo64x 20:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Really? Where? ^_^ --Shadebeard 20:14, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Outdated Tabloid Rumors

Someone justify having old tabloid rumors about who the singer might be in the article it does not seem like Encyclopedia material. If you cant justify the relevance it will be deleted. Lelek 15:35, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Opinions about the song

I wanted to know how you all feel about this song. I think it is way to slow and below average. The Nightwish fans I know want something like the Wishmaster era and they keep on making ballads. I hope there are some better songs on the album. This is my own opinion, provably someone thinks it´s their best song ever :)

I'm sorry, but Wikipedia's talk pages are only for discussion of the article, not the subject. That is, this page is for discussion of the article Eva (song) and how it can be improved, not about the single itself. If you want to discuss the single, I recommend that you do so in the Nightwish forum :) Teo64x 15:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Eva-cover.jpg

Image:Eva-cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
