Evaristo Carazo

Evaristo Carazo Aranda (Rivas, October 24, 1821–August 1, 1889) was the President of Nicaragua from March 1, 1887 to August 1, 1889. He was a son of Lorenzo Carazo Alvarado (a descendant of Juan Vázquez de Coronado) and wife María del Rosario Aranda Múñoz. He was a member of the conservative party. He was married to Engracia Hurtado. He died in office in Nicaragua's capital Managua.
