Evar Saar is an Estonian who has traveled extensively around the historical county of Võrumaa and documented the original names of all major geographical features there. In total, he has collected over 50,000 names from the Võro language. Võro is the original language of Estonia, and is sometimes known as South Estonian. What is today known as Estonian or the "Written-language" is a relative of Võro that diverged many years ago.
