Evangelos Christou

Evangelos A. Christou is the director of the Neuromuscular Physiology Laboratory at Texas A&M University and member of the Faculty of Neuroscience at Texas A&M. Dr. Christou earned his B.S. at Truman State University, M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado, Boulder with Professor Roger M. Enoka.

His research interests include the identification of neuromuscular mechanisms that mediate acute perturbations (arousal, fatigue, and sleep) and chronic influences (aging, disease, training, and learning) to motor performance in humans.
