He also played for Ipatinga in Minas Gerais state and Guarani in São Paulo state.[1]
He was signed in July 2007.[2]

During 2003, he won the FIFA U-17 World Championship with Brazil. He was elected the 2nd best player (FIFA Silver Ball), losing the 1st place to Cesc Fabregas, and was also a runner-up in the South American U-17 Championship. He played for the Brazilian National Team (49 games) U-17, U-20 and U-21 (Toulon Tournament).
