Evan Yates

Evan Yates is a film-maker from New Zealand. He has had brief moments of national recognition with his short films Spud of the Rings and Sporting Trick. He has appeared on many New Zealand television game shows with varying levels of success, including University Challenge, The Krypton Factor, Wheel of Fortune and $ale of the Century.

- Spud of the Rings - A parody of The Lord of the Rings starring Mr Potato Head as "Tayto Baggins". Featured on TheOneRing.Net.
- Sporting Trick - Using the same techniques as the Honda Cog television commercial, this film featured a kinetic chain reaction using various items of sports equipment. This film featured on the New Zealand Television show, Sportscafé, winning Yates a trip to the UK to meet English footballer, David Beckham
- Soul Trader - a low, low-budget splatter film made in conjunction with director and co-producer, Michael Switzer.
