Evan "Easy" Esquerra is a supporting character in El Muerto: The Aztec Zombie by Javier Hernández, his first appearance being in the first issue titled Daze of the Dead: Numer Uno Edition. (February 1998)

Evan works as a comic-book artist for "Back Alley Comics" under his prudent but accommodating boss, Adam Gomez. One of the titles he currently works on is Weapon Tex-Mex. Evan's family consists of his wife Patty, son Reilly and father Reynaldo.
Diego was one of Evan's most trusted friends and was in fact his son's godfather. He was crushed to hear of his friend's untimely death but is unaware of Diego's rebirth as the undead hero, El Muerto.
