[edit] Character history
Eva de Wolffe is a 70 year old publisher, introduced at Heathrow Airport in the middle of the fifth season. Tanya Turner has just arrived back from South America and asks Eva her relationship to Paulo, whom she spent a romantic moment with on the plane. When Eva says partner, Tanya assumes business partner, however Eva and Paulo are lovers. However, it is later seen that Eva is controlling and domineering and uses psychological torture in order to keep control of Paulo, reminding him of his orphan past, and how she saved him when he was a child back in South America. Eva sees that Tanya has an interest in Paulo, and even bids 1 million pounds during a charity auction for a date with him in order to stop Tanya from winning. Later it is found that Eva is Paulo’s adoptive mother, when Tanya finds out she uncovers the truth, and manages to get Paulo to break up with Eva and move in with her. Eva is last seen persuading another young man, Klaus, to go to an Environmentalist Ball at the museum with her. He complies. It seems Eva has hypnotic powers over this man and many others, as she saved them from being orphans as well as Paulo during their childhoods.
She later appeared in the final episode of season 5, haunting Tanya through flashback in a dream along with Conrad Gates, Amber Gates, Jason Turner, and other characters.
