Eva Lallemant

Eva Lallemant (b. 1916, Kishinev, Russian Empire (today Chişinău, Moldova)) is a Naïve art painter.
She moved to France in 1924. In 1936, she married Pierre Lallemant, who died in the Battle of the Bulge in 1940 and she had to bring their daughter Monique up alone. In 1949, she went to live with a new partner in the Vendée, where she founded the hostel Mireille Oasis, which is famous because of its cooking. Self-taught, she started with painting in the 1950s, and a little later with ceramics and sculpture.
