John Sotomayor (also known as John Sotomayor Jr.) was born on November 17th 1971 in Freehold, New Jersey. His parents, John A. Sotomayor and Zenaida M. Sotomayor, both currently reside in The United States. After graduating from East Brunswick High School in 1990, John attended Rider University where he graduated with a degree in International Marketing.

He joined the world renowned retailer Nordstrom as they expanded throughout the Northeast. John held several positions with Nordstrom in New Jersey and New York before leaving the company in 1996.

In 1997 John moved from White Plains New York to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. After working for several Dutch retailers including Oger Fashion, Ralph Lauren and Maison de Bonneterie, John recently joined the Spanish based retailer the Inditex Group. Currently he works as the menswear manager at the Zara (clothing) store in Almere, The Netherlands.
