[edit] Vatican City

Vatican City is listed under "Potential members". I find it hard to believe that a nation with less than a thousand inhabitants, almost all of whom are adult and without children can have any form of scout association? Surely if there are any children there (children of the swiss guard or lay members perhaps) they would take the short walk into Italy? If there actually is a Vatican City scouting movement, it would seem fascinating and I would love to know more. If there isn't (and I suspect that there isn't) then it should be moved into the "Countries without Scouting" section. – MrWeeble Talk Brit tv 22:45, 19 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm not sure how to classify "Vatican City". The official list by WOSM doesn'T mention it - neither as "Country without Scouting", neither as "potential member". I will remove Vatican City totally from the list since there is no information given by WOSM.
The size of a country is not really important concerning the existence of an independent Scout/Guide association. Even Monaca has its own association with about 75 members.
I'll also remove Greenland, it's not an associate member, but part of Denmark's federation. --jergen 18:57, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
Since we have this template in the Scouting in Vatican City entry, too, maybe we should restore Vatican in the template.. or remove the countries without scouting, they don't really belong to the european region...
BTW, this template interferes with Template:Infobox WorldScouting, see AGESCI for an example.

I fixed the interference the hard way; it may take same time till I find a smart solution. --jergen 09:52, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. I added the same fix to Template:WAGGGS-Europe_Region
I just noticed that the logo in this template is wrong. It is only used for joint WOSM/WAGGGS events (such as the European Scout and Guide Conference). Maybe we can use it, but only together with the WOSM logo, and we should do the same in Template:WAGGGS-Europe_Region; what do you think?
The Vatican City issue is still open...
