Removed statement: Pope John Paul II warned that gays would be running naked through the Vatican it didn't happen.

What he actually said was more like: In the name of the Church of Rome, I must express sadness for the affront to the great jubilee of the year 2000 and the offence to Christian values of a city that is so dear to the heart of Catholics of the whole world

The article claims that Europride 1996 ended with a financial surplus. As I remember it, the following years of pride in Copenhagen was seriously hampered by the fact that the organizers behind Europride 1996 more or less went bankrupt. 83.93.57.40 18:50, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
