I've always pronounced the letters separately, so "ee-em-ee-ay", but I don't know whether everyone does that. sjorford mmmmm 12:49, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

At my work place we pronounce it "ee-meh-ah" 65.57.245.11

[edit] Merge?

I feel like this would be more appropriately placed in something like international business terminology, etc. An article for a term from a specific context (especially when it then has to explain how one refers to America in the same context) should be merged.
