[edit] Opera comica?

Should this be opera buffa? I don't know the term opera comica. -- Kleinzach 11:38, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

I've seen the term used in several articles and I vaguely remember learning about the term in my Music History class in college. It seems to often be used synonimously with opera buffa but I think it may have a broader application. I'm going to look in Groves and a few other sources. I'll let you know what I find. Opera comica is the term used in the article that is referenced.Nrswanson 12:07, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
It's not in Grove - at least not as a main entry. -- Kleinzach 13:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
