There was no "Kingdom of the Two Sicilies" in 1328. There were two separate kingdoms at Naples and Sicily, each with separate kings. john k 05:29, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

In 1328, Wallachia was not independent, but a vassal of Hungary. Its independence was gained two years later, in 1330. 83.103.181.182 22:36, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Majorca?

I'm puzzled by two things in this map: Firstly, the Catalan-speaking Balearic islands are missing entirely, and this can't be justified on their size since the biggest one of them is bigger than half a dozen other islands that have been included. Secondly, the name of that biggest one of those islands, namely Majorca, does appear on the map, but instead placed over the Catalan-speaking region of present-day Rousillon in France. [edit] Samogitia

Official Samogitia in this year didn't belong to Teutonics - they belong to Lithuania (and Lithuania is to small because Kijev was under Lithuania). In real history (our) Samogitia didn't belong to someone. Zordsdavini 13:40, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Estonia

Estonia was not a part of Sweden at that time yet. It was property of Denmark until 1346 after which Germans took over it. --Drieakko 17:16, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, maps has to be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4rdi (talkcontribs) 00:25, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] HRE & Bohemia - ie absence of The Bohemia on the map(s)

Is this map a joke or what? Bohemia is labelled as a "small state" within the HRE and not even outlined or anyhow mentioned on this map, while it was one of the most powerful countries in the centre of Europe at that time and certainly larger and more populous than many of those "important" or "big" enough to have their names here on this would-be map of Europe in 1328. Creators of this map apparently haven't realized, that while Kingdom of Bohemia was a "member" of this "Holy Union", it was still a sovereign, independent country like neighbouring Kingdoms of Poland or Hungary, formally/institutionally more independent than these countries are within present-day EU. Are we going to remove the borders and country names of EU members from present-day maps of Europe? This map should be removed or thoroughly redrawn. Qertis 20:34, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

I absolutely must agree with the speaker above! Take care about makeng it clear, where this country had their borders, it was not small state at all. It was long time standing local power - formally situated whithin The Holy Roman Empire - for long time being the biggest state in The HRE. And well also being the predecessor of the current Czech Republic. In many maps, trying make it as correct as possible it is drawn that way, that the important independent states within the association are of the same color, but with distict lines demarking its borders and labels of it's identity on the map.
Here that should be the same.Reo ON | +++ 14:52, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Here is an example of the map with ideal techical solution implemented: Image:Europe_map_1648.PNG, well only for the reason of preventing some confusion - there is no Bohemia in this map (1648) - because it's souverenity was seized bz Austria in 1618. So The Austria is here very corectly demarked within the HRE. The sama way should be Bohemia demarked within HRE before 1618 ie maps of 1328 or 998 or what so ever.
