European Sports Magazines

European Sports Magazines (ESM) is a European association of football related publications.
The members of this group elect each month a European "Team of the Month", and annually a European "Team of the Year".
The founding member magazines of ESM were:
- A Bola (Portugal)
- Don Balón (Spain)
- Foot Magazine (Belgium)
- kicker (Germany)
- La Gazzetta dello Sport (Italy)
- Onze Mondial (France)
- Sport (Switzerland)
- Voetbal international (Netherlands)
- World Soccer (UK)
In 1997, Onze Mondial were replaced by France Football as French representatives; Sport disappeared at the end of 1999 due to bankruptcy; France Football left the group before the 2001/02 season; in their place, Sport Express (Russia) were added at the beginning of 2002, and Fanatik (Turkey) entered the group at the beginning of 2003. During the summer of that year, Tipsbladet (Denmark) joined the group.
In January 2006, ESM consists of:

Since 2004, Afrique Football (France) joined ESM as an associated member.
In 2007, Soccer Weekly of China was accepted as the 10th member of the ESM, the first outside Europe.
