European Rural Youth Forum

The European Rural Youth Forum (or ERYF) is an organization for youths from rural areas around in Europe.

Forum started as a foreign exchange between a school in Northumberland, England and a school in Brittany, France. These schools and people from other organizations make the organization.

The goals of ERYF is to share ideas and thoughts about life in rural areas in different countries.

Countries represented in the forum are invited by the leader. The ERYF is an expanding organization.

In 2005 the recruitment work of the forum was on its way and countries such as Sweden and Hungary joined.

The year which the forum was officially started. The official opening took place at Haydon Bridge High School in February with members from several European countries. Following this event a meeting was held where Serbia was chosen unanimously by the delegates from all countries attending the meeting.

In 2007 the forum was held in Novi Sad, Serbia. The visit also included visits to places in around the city. Like Subotica and monasteries around in surrounding area of Fruška Gora.

The next forum will be held in Lublin, Poland. It will also expand and welcome new members from countries like Germany and Romania.
