European Physical Society

The European Physical Society (EPS) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote physics and physicists in Europe. Formally established in 1968, [1] its membership includes the national physical societies of 40 countries, and some 2500 individual members. One of its major activities is organizing international conferences. Its magazine is Europhysics Letters; its other publications include Europhysics News and the European Journal of Physics. [2]
