Europalia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Europalia is a cultural organization, established in Brussels, Belgium in 1969. Europalia wants to highlight the culture of member States of the European Community, by organizing festivals of art and culture at the heart of Europe. During the first period of Europalia, the festivals were organized in principle every other year. During a second period, Europalia dedicated itself to the illustration of the culture of Eastern European candidate countries. A third phase started in 2003, when Italy offered the possibility of organising a second Europalia.
