Eurocrem

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Eurocrem is a kind of two-colored (brown and white) hazelnut and milk creme, produced by Swisslion-Takovo company based in Gornji Milanovac, about 50km south of Belgrade in Serbia. As something of a national product, Eurocrem was marketed under the slogan "For the Growing Generation", accompanied by an image of a slice of bread covered half with brown and half with white creme.

[edit] History

Eurocrem was introduced to the Ex-Yugoslavia market in 1972, supposedly under license from the Italian company, Gandola. That company no longer exists and there are no non-Serbian versions of Eurocrem, so details of the license are unclear.

Eurocrem was initially offered in only one flavor variant (hazelnut and vanilla) while recent additions to the range include banana, strawberry, coconut and caramel flavors. The recently-added flavors were not as popular, probably because consumers preferred to keep to the initial version. Numerous package types and sizes have been made available, including PVC and glass containers of sizes ranging from 15g to 5kg.
