[edit] Deletion nominations

I notice you are currently nominating a number of articles for deletion, all relating to the subject matter of hacking. While I have no problem with your choosing to nominate these articles, I do note that you haven't really provided much of a reason as to why these articles ought to be deleted. I suggest you read Wikipedia:Deletion policy and the Policies and guidelines so that you can better present your Afd nominations. Agent 86 02:32, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I thought I'd reply here to the response you left on my talk page. Your AfD nominations will probably have more careful consideration paid to them if you provide some reasoning for your nomination rather than letting other editors try to guess. If you are relying on "notability", you should state which notability guideline you are referring to, such as Wikipedia:Notability (people) (often referred to in "shorthand" as "WP:BIO") for biographies or Wikipedia:Notability (companies and corporations) (shorthand: "WP:CORP"). Being able to refer to a content policy or guideline in an AfD discussion will be much more persuasive. Agent 86 02:49, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
    • I also noticed that you seem to be having a bit of a problem adding your nominations to the AfD log, and have two articles "tagged" without following through (Black Ratchet and Digital DawgPound). A handy guide to how to nominate articles for deletion can be found at "How to list pages for deletion". Agent 86 02:53, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Fair enough, I thought specifying notability for a biography article would imply that it was WP:BIO, making that redundant. Euphonic 03:01, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Since you seem unfamiliar with Wikipedia, why are you already proposing deletions and trying to judge the work of others? Why don't you hang around and contribute for a while before trying to decide on the validity of other people's work? --Kevin Murray 21:40, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD's removed

FYI, I went ahead and removed the deletion tags that you added to Black Ratchet and Digital DawgPound, since they were incomplete. I also echo some of the concerns stated above, and would like to suggest that it might be better if you spent more time getting to know Wikipedia guidelines, before immediately jumping in and making AfD nominations. Would you be interested in perhaps adding to some articles, first? --Elonka 23:40, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

  • I've been adding to articles for years. FYI, one of the articles in question was upgraded by others to speedy deletion, so its not like I was off the mark.Euphonic 14:59, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
    • According to your contrib list: Euphonic (talk ยท contribs), your first edit was on January 27th, and you immediately launched into deletions. --Elonka 19:41, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
      • You do realize that an account is not required to make edits, right? -Euphonic 11:07, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
