Eunice Yoon

Eunice Yoon is CNN International’s Asia Business Editor. Based at the network’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, she is responsible for business news coverage across the Asia-Pacific region, offering live financial and economic analysis and commentary in CNN TODAY with Hugh Riminton and Kristie Lu Stout every weekday from 7:00-10:30 a.m. Hong Kong time.
As part of CNN’s new team in 2005 she anchored live programming broadcast out of Asia, covering events including the Pakistan earthquake. She has also hosted CNN’s monthly series on sustainable development “Global Challenges”, filed live reports from the site of the 2005 World Trade Organization meeting in Hong Kong and covered U.S.-China trade issues.
Yoon has traveled extensively in Asia, covering China’s rapid economic development as well as the region’s recovery from the Indian Ocean tsunami and the SARS outbreak of 2003. She has interviewed numerous newsmakers including South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun and U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.
Yoon has anchored and reported for a number of news organizations, including CNBC, Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and YTN of South Korea. She has served as anchor and news director at CBS affiliate KTVS-TV3 in the U.S. state of Colorado and worked at ABC-6 in Providence, Rhode Island in the United States.
Her travels have taken her to over 40 countries spanning the Americas, the Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Yoon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in political science from Brown University in Rhode Island and graduated magna cum laude.
