Eugie Foster was born December 30, 1971 in Urbana, Illinois. She is an Asian American short story writer, columnist, and editor now living in Atlanta, Georgia.

Foster writes "Writing for Young Readers," a monthly column for children's literature and young adult literature writers. She was a contributor to and the managing editor of Tangent Online, for four years and is now the managing editor of The Fix, a short fiction review magazine published by TTA Press. She is also a director for Dragon Con and edits their onsite newsletter, the Daily Dragon.
