Eugenio Sanz-Orozco Mortera (Jose Maria of Manila) was born on September 5, 1880 in Manila, Philippines. He was a Franciscan Capuchin priest. He died a martyr on August 17, 1936 in Madrid, Spain during the Spanish civil war.

Mortera, along with other martyrs of the religious persecution during the Spanish civil war, is currently in consideration for sainthood in the Roman Catholic Church with protocol number 962 assigned by the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
