Eugene Murphy Locke (1918 - 1972) was an American lawyer from Dallas, Texas and ambassador.
Locke was the son of the founder of the prominent Locke and Locke law firm in Dallas. Eugene received his law degree from Yale in 1940 and served in the Soloman Islands in the Navy during World War II, before becoming a successful attorney in the Dallas area.
President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed Locke Ambassador to Pakistan. Later he was given the role of Deputy Ambassador to South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Johnson gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1967.
