[edit] Downloading and costs

Eudemons Online is free to download.[6] It is available for download at the official website with a filesize of 637 MB. Players can also purchase special Eudemon Codes (a pair of numbers containing a code ID and a password) with real money that allow users to buy rare items.[7][8]

[edit] Gameplay

[edit] Characters

Once players have an account and have downloaded the game, they can now play. Players first must choose a server in which to play. Each server allows only one character.[9] On the character selection screen, players have 6 choices:[9]

  • Warrior (male)
  • Warrior (female)
  • Warriors are very skilled in melee combat and good defenders. Warriors do not have as many skills as mages.
  • Mage (male)
  • Mage (female)
  • Mages are fairly weak at melee attacks but they excel at ranged attacks.
  • Paladin (male)
  • Paladin (female)
  • Paladins have special abilities. Paladins can defeat enemies faster and level up fastly.

There are only minor differences between male and female characters. Males can only give roses to females and not receive them. Females can only receive roses from males and not offer them.[10] Some clothing are only for one sex. Also both sexes have their own set of hairstyles and avatars.[11]

[edit] The Eudemon System

When starting up, characters begin with two "Eudemons". A Eudemon is a pet that can be trained, taught and evolved into higher forms; a concept similar to Pokémon.[7][2] Just as the player gains experience points to increase character levels, so do the Eudemons. They are at their lowest form and begin at level 1 when the player begins his/her journey for the first time.

Players can obtain new pets to help them fight with by either buying them from the Shopping Mall or finding their eggs after killing monsters. 12 Eudemons can be carried in the party list at any time. There are Eudemon warehouses situated in the first 3 cities and Market where up to 10 Eudemons can be stored in each one. Also, players can carry 6 unhatched eggs at any time. There are also special Eudemons that can only be obtained at certain events or have to be bought from other players.

[edit] Evolution

At level 20 a Eudemon is able to evolve to a higher form and, depending on what type it is, can change its appearance. First evolution is important as it verifies the pets attributes, quality and initial statistics. Pets can also be used as minors in main attribute composition.

At level 40 a Eudemon can evolve again into its highest form by being placed in the evolution oven inside the in-game Market. Once again, its appearance may change depending on the Eudemon's type. This evolution is also important as the eudemons may obtain a special gift or even turn into a thunder race Eudemon (the rarest race). They also receive a unique ID.

[edit] Composing

There are several types of composing: Main Composing, Initial Attribute Composing, Sub-Attribute Composing, Luck Compose/Improve, and ID Compose. The eudemons being composed must be of the same type, excepting two cases: All eudemons may be major composed or luck composed with UniversalO or UniversalXO eudemons, and SuperEudemons may further be used with Universal eudemons in initial and sub attribute composings. In all composes, when completed the major eudemon will return to level 1, but will go back to its original level when it reaches a certain level. The level requirement to "jump back" to its original level depends on the quality of the eudemon. From 1-9 star quality it will go back at level 50, and from 10+ star quality it will require level 70.

Major composing can be done when a Eudemon is level 50. Major composing essentially fuses two Eudemon together to strengthen one. The major eudemon stays, while the minor eudemon's attributes enhance the major's, but the minor Eudemon is lost in this process. Composing improves the quality of the major Eudemon. How much the quality improves (the dicing) is random, unless a eudemon clover is used. Clovers give the maximum "dicing" roll, which will give it the most number of points for its quality.

Initial attribute, or simply initial composing, may be done when the major eudemon reaches level 70, and the minor level 40. This can only be done if the minor eudemon has at least one initial attribute better that is higher than the major eudemon's. When composed, the major eudemon will gain a 75% of the difference, and its quality will increase.

Sub-Atrribute (Sub) Composing is quite similar to initial composing, as it can only be done also when the major eudemon has reached level 70 and the minor level 40 and there is a set gain of points (unlike the dicing of major composing). However, the largest, and virtually only difference is that unlike initial statistics, which all eudemons have, what attribute qualifies as a sub attribute differ from eudemon to eudemon.

Luck Compose/Improve are the two ways of improving the luck on your eudemon. The luck statistic itself is useless at this time except for improving the star quality of the eudemon. In this composing, the major eudemon must be level 70, and the minor level 40. This composing type can never fail. Luck improve is not done with a eudemon, but it requires a violet stone (which is a type of semi-rare stone that may be bought or found) and then a supervioletstone when its luck is over 100. Luck improve requires a eudemon be level 70, and must already have a luck of 70. This composing may fail, and if so, the eudemon will not be reborn, and the violetstone or supervioletstone will be lost. The formula for working out the StarMarks gained when increasing luck is; (Luckgained*2) + 1

ID Composing can only be done with two eudemons that have already been given a unique ID by being evolved for the second time in the evolution oven. ID Composing requires not only two eudemons, but also a redstone (the rarest of the stones). This composing also cannot fail.

you have to get a eudemon level 50 deponding on your level. You also want to come pose with 1*'s and up good luck !

[edit] Monsters, experience, and leveling

The way for a character and their Eudemons to increase in attributes is to battle monsters. Every time a player attacks a monster they will gain experience points. The tougher monsters give more experience. The character's experience bar is situated at the bottom of the screen horizontally and the Eudemon's bar is blue in their avatar. When the bar is full the character will gain a level higher. The higher their level, the better the armor, weapon and skill can be used. Besides killing monsters, players can gain experience by using ExpBalls to level up, and Eudemons can make use of EudemonCrystals to give them a boost of leveling experience. EudemonCrystals come in different ratings starting at 10 points. The higher the rating, the more experience the Eudemon receives, and the more levels it will gain.

[edit] Mentor and teamwork

A player can be trained by mentors, who are other players that help increase another player's stats. Players may only have 1 mentor, but mentors may have more than 1 apprentice. Within the mentor system is a Mentor tier providing benefits for mentors at the cost of Mentor Experience - which is used to upgrade your mentor level, or alternatively exchanged for 'Exp balls' which your apprentices fill as they gain experience points. Below Mentor level 15 a mentor can have a maximum of 13 apprentices, at level 15 and higher they gain another 2 slots for apprentices. Bonuses of taking on apprentices include gaining GodsBlessing Time when an apprentice uses a Blessing on themselves, Experience points, and reborn times. Though its not only the Mentor who gains from this arrangement, the apprentices will gain potency from their mentor when he/she is online, Regardless of which map the mentor is in unlike the family potency when teamed which is restricted to being in the same map.

[edit] Player killing system (PK)

This game incorporates the PK system that Conquer Online uses. This allow players to PK anybody they wish. However, there are places where PK is forbidden. Similar to Conquer Online, if a player kills another player in a city or near a guard, the attacking player will be killed by the guard or otherwise, killed by other players. For each player killed, the killer gains PK points. If you kill someone, your name starts to flash, letting other players have the chance to kill you without gaining PK points. As you PK more and more, the color of your name changes. When it is red, you can lose any of your equipment and most of the items in your inventory. When it is black, you will lose equipment, the items in your inventory, and you will go to jail if you get killed by someone else.

[edit] XP System

Eudemons Online has a special XP system. It incorporates an XP bar that gradually fills no matter what the player is doing. When the bar fills completely, a pyrotechnic sequence will insue and the player can choose an XP skill to use, which is more powerful than the player's normal skills. The player must choose the skill quickly, for when the flames on the XP bar die out, the XP skill is lost until the bar fills again. When the player chooses the spell, he/she can use it to kill as many monsters as he/she can until the XP time runs out. If the player is in a team, members will only share experience if they use the XP skill at the same time. The XP skill, once chosen, cannot be canceled except for the Mage XP skill Rage (allows the player to float and kill enemies with lightning), where the player can descend and lose the remaining XP time.

[edit] Family

Players may create a family after reaching level 50. After a family is created, members of the family may share potency when in a team together. The amount of potency shared is dependent on the family potency tower level. With a level one tower, members may share 50% of the potency difference. This allows weaker players to survive against much stronger enemies than they could face otherwise.

[edit] Legion

Players can join a legion at any time, usually by accepting an invitation from one of the four legion leaders (Leader, Leader's Spouse, Deputy, and General). A player may create a legion at level 50 for a fee requirement of 500,000 gold. They may also dismiss the legion by going to the Bucks Warder in Cronus.

The name of the legion can be whatever the creator chooses, and may have an unlimited number of people in it, unlike a family which is only a maximum of 12 people. The legion can eventually display a "Eudemon Totem" which may increase the potency of high-ranking members. You have to be at least level 70 to register Eudemons and when you reach level 90 you are able to register 6 Eudemons allowing you to contribute more to your legion.

Players can also gain ranks within a legion. There are a number of ways to get a rank in a legion: By being given a position by another member, by having the top number of roses, white or red (Female only) in the legion, by having more total contribution points, or by buying it with eudemon points.

"Earned" ranks, that is, ranks that can only be attained through contribution points are Leader (the creator), General, Captain,Lieutenant, Sergeant, Senior Member, Junior Member, and Common Member. Members of the legion may increase their status by donating gold to the legion itself (the minimum being 1,000 gold), Registering their pets (minimum of 5 star quality) on the totem, by receiving mentoring points for leveling with legion members under level 30, or by PKing enemy legion members.

"Assigned" ranks, ranks that are given based on situation or another player promoting are LeaderSpouse, LeaderSpouseAide, Deputy, Deputy's Spouse, Deputy's Aide, Captain's Spouse, Captain's Aide, LeaderSecretary, and RoseCaptain(simply displayed in the game as Captain)

The bought ranks are signified by a tag of "Honor" in front of the normal rank, i.e. instead of "Deputy", it will display "HonorDeputy". These players must renew their title, as their positions only last one month at a time. Though these ranks are bought, they come will all the same power and privileges of the equivalent "earned" rank.

How many of each rank there may be in the legion depends on the legion level, which is determined by the number of totems with 100 or more total stars registered to it. For example, a level one legion may only have two deputies, whereas a level ten (the maximum) may have four.

Players may leave a legion when they have at least 200 contribution points. This can be done by either paying 200,000 gold (every 1,000 gold count for 1 contribution point until you have donated 300,000 gold donation, which then changes to 10,000 gold = 1 contribution point), by being kicked out (Only the Leader, Leaderspouse, Deputy, and Honor Deputy's have the power to expel a member) or by registering eudemons on the totem.
